Minor Surgery

An initial appointment is necessary for minor surgery and cryotherapy with Dr Greiss.  You will then expect to be placed on a waiting list as these clinics do not take place every week.

Dr Greiss will have to decide whether the condition can be treated on the NHS.

Some procedures such as benign skin tags, moles etc can not be treated on the NHS please refer to the website link below.

Excision of benign skin lesions

Removal of benign skin lesions will only be considered for:

·         Suspicious or potentially malignant lesions

·         Impairment of function or significant facial disfigurement, for example large lymphoma

·         Treatment of multiple lipomatosis or neurofibromatosis.

Excision of benign skin lesions is generally effective but they are considered to be of low priority and will only be carried out under exceptional circumstances. Therefore prior funding approval is required for such procedures.
