We have launched a new service for appointments and repeat ordering. please contact the reception to register for this service.
You are able to book routine GP appointments upto 1 month in advance.
Patients are allocated 10 minutes in a booked appointment. Please do not come to an appointment with more than one problem as the doctor may ask you to book another appointment. Consultation times can vary.
To make a booked appointment we can be contacted by telephone, you can call into the surgery from 8.00am to 6.30pm each weekday or you can book your appointment on-line (see below).
We have on the day slots for urgent matters if you feel you cannot wait until the next available appointment. You must be prepared to see any doctor and be prepared to wait in busy periods. Please ring at 10.00am if you need an urgent appointment.
Using online services makes it more convenient for patients as there’s no need to make a phone call or visit us. Computer, smartphone or tablet users can make or cancel an appointment at a time that suits them, even when the practice is closed. If you are not already registered for GP online services please let a member of the practice team know you would like to use this service. https://patient.emisaccess.co.uk/Account/Login
You have the right to request a doctor of your preference except in an emergency, however there may be times where you will need to wait longer than 48 hours.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
Did you know you can get appointment reminders via text message? Please see our leaflets in Reception for further information.
Patients are expected to attend surgery wherever possible. Please note that a lack of transport is not a valid reason for a visit.
If you are housebound and you need a visit from the GP please telephone before 10.00 am so that the doctor can plan his/her schedule. On some occasions the doctor will telephone to discuss your problem before the visit.
Please note that from 1st January 2019 we will CEASE extended hours appointments on Thursday evenings.
We will continue to offer extended hours appointments on Monday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.00pm for routine pre-bookable appointments.
Please call between the hours of 1pm to 3pm to enquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request after this time.
Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.
When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.
It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.
